We are pleased to announce that the current issue of the Review of Development Economics includes a special section on Poverty and Inequality in China; the result of a collaboration between the journal and the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) in Helsinki. The section includes papers emerging from UNU-WIDER’s 2004/2005 research project on poverty and inequality in China. The research project was directed by Guanghua Wan, who also serves as guest editor for this section.
